HARRISTOTLE

Born Harrison Aponte and residing in Buffalo, NY, the 27 year old multidisciplinary artist HARRISTOTLE's work typically explores philosophical topics pertaining to value, technology, and the human experience.

An an avid music producer, HARRISTOTLE curates mixtapes with his unique approach to production and songwriting.  His most recent release, titled HEAVEN's CURRENCY, is a 25-track hip hop project featuring an assortment of mainly Buffalo, NY lyricists that is loosely based on the book Dante's Inferno.  Most tracks on the project serve as a representation of each layer of hell and purgatory following HARRISTOTLE's metaphorical "death" on track 5 of the project.

HARRISTOTLE's most recent mixtape is the inspiration for his August 2025 painting series where each piece serves as a visual representation of a different question regarding the nature of Heaven.

With paintings typically created using acrylic and collage materials in a child-like, neo-expressionist style, HARRISTOTLE builds upon his painting style with this HEAVEN's CURRENCY series.

Along with his signature pinstripe-based painting pieces, HARRISTOTLE intends to continue his work building a sculpture movement titled DOHISM.  DOHISM, which began with HARRISTOTLE's 2024 sculpture of a boombox filled with PlayDoh, titled NEW MIXTAPE, could be described as the purposeful appropriation of technology for artistic purposes.

At the time of this writing, HARRISTOTLE has released three solo mixtapes and completed an Artist Residency at Hunt Fine Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY.
